Paolo Soprani Vintage Accordian for sale from Canada
Estimated price for orientation: 1 400 $
Category: Accordions
Class:
Description Type: Button Accordion Country/Region of Manufacture: Italy Brand: Paolo Soprani
The accordion was purchased by my uncle 40 or 50 years ago; he owned and cared for it until he passed away a couple of years ago. I do play a few things, but the accordion isn't one of them, and I'd like to move it along to someone else who would make use of this beautiful sounding instrument again. There is a small amount of wear, mostly in small lines in the finish, as you will be able to see if you zoom in on the 2nd picture above which shows "Made in Italy". One of the keys had an "X" written on it with a black felt tip marker, although it's been almost entirely cleaned off. There does not appear to be any model anywhere on the accordion. From what I've researched, that's not uncommon with Paolo Soprani's. We brought it to a music shop who asked around to some accordion-type-people to see if they could track down a model so we could price it, but they couldn't. My uncle (the original owner) was already an experienced player when he bought this accordion (before my time). He knew how to prioritize his money for music - this would have been one of the better accordions available at the music shops in the city. (note: there is no tag or anything missing on the accordion which had its model on it, it's in superb shape)If you're interested in bidding on this item, and would like to request any additional specific shots of the accordion, feel free to ask. This is a high value item - I want the buyer to be happy, - thrilled with our transaction.SHIPPING NOTICE: I live in Canada and will be shipping from here. Shipping within Canada is no issue, but if you are in the US (or other countries) and would like to purchase this accordion, note that customs may charge you at the border since this is an expensive manufactured item. From past experience of shipping musical instruments to buyers in the US, I would guess that there is a 1 in 3 to 1 in 2 chance that the item will be charged a customs fee of probably around $150 - $200 (could be more or less - If you would like to find out, check with your local country's customs agency, and ask them what fees they would apply on a vintage musical instrument being shipped to you by an individual from Canada, which was originally manufactured in Italy decades ago). Buyers in the US (and elsewhere) take all responsibility for this potential charge/fee/duty which your customs may implement.RETURN NOTICE: Since this is an expensive item, I am offering a 14 day return policy on it. If you receive the item, and it is not as described, or you don't believe it to be, return it in the same condition (accordion & case) for a refund of the sale price.
