What can I say? This guitar is stunning! It is only being sold because the money has to fund other things. This limited edition model is 1 of 60 which were only sold in Europe for PRS's 30th Anniversary. Only 10 were ever made in this gorgeous Dark Cherry Sun Burst colour, so it is not an exaggeration to say this guitar is rare!Top to bottom, it looks and sounds amazing. The wood for this stunning 10 top comes directly from Paul Reed Smiths' private Wood Library. The body is African Mahogany with a Wood Library Maple 10 top. The neck is Pattern Thin carved mahogany, with Gabon Ebony fingerboard and headstock veneer. It houses PRS’s 85/15 treble and bass humbuckers harnessed to volume, tone (with push-pull coil-tap) and three-way toggle switch. In terms of how it plays, you couldn't ask for more. The neck has a gloss finish and it is very easy to work your way up and down the fretboard at speed.The clean tones are fantastic and the overdriven sounds are big and balsy while retaining that quality sound - it would be just as happy cranking out some seriously heavy rock as it would singing out some soaring Blues solos or Latin flourishes.The guitar comes in a luxurious limited edition black Paisley covered hard case with leather ends and handle, brass catches and hardware with a deep (almost electric) blue plush fur lining. The case does have a few light marks but no damage.New, this guitar would retail at £3,750/ €5,400 inc VAT, so this is an absolute bargain for an instrument that is virtually unused.
