Up for sale is a 1966 Fender Jaguar in black, with original hard case. The guitar has been refinished professionally in black. Excellent overall condition. All hardware/parts/electronics are original except for the saddle for the high E string (was replaced with a vintage part that is identical to the original, but with less patina), a non-original tremolo arm, and the nut. The nut was replaced with a black nut at some point. I considered changing this, but the action is so nice I decided against it. At some point, this guitar was refinished in blue. You can tell based on the remnants of blue paint that are on the electronics. My tech was able to remove almost all the paint from the main control cavity (by volume & tone controls). Please see the photos. The paint does not affect the function, tone, or playability, so I will leave it up to the next owner to do with it what they will.There is a piece of binding near the nut on the high e side that is slightly loose. This could be fixed with a drop of super glue, but I don't have any on hand, so I will leave that up to the next owner, too.The guitar sounds and plays great. Currently has a fresh set of D'Addario 10s. Pickups are very strong and punchy, just as they should be. Original case is is very good structural shape, but the Fender logo has partially broken off.
