Moving this along to someone who will use it more than I do.A few years back I acquired one of these and loved the neck and the frets. Just loved them. I like vintage-sized frets. It was Parker's version of a Les Paul and I played it a lot, before eventually moving in favor of the Carbon-Wrapped fingerboard. So I sold that one, then I missed it and waited and waited and eventually got another one!
This one was much more useful (to me, at least) because it had a MIDI-mod that I've become accustomed to. (I just can't stop using virtual guitar modeling.)The Parker-branded pickups are replaced with a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck and JB in the bridge, like the fly mojo uses, and each tone knob pulls up to change its connected humbucker to single coil.So what we have here is a mod to the standard PM24v which includes 2 new knobs and 2 new switches.See the pictures and the control layout for more information.(I do something ridiculous like this to all the guitars I own, and each one ends up a little different.)I'm pretty sure if this is the kind of thing you are interested in, this one won't let you down.It has the phenolic fretboard, and the frets are nickel, with lots of life left in them (see picture) .I started this one with flat wounds and ended up switching to round wound 9s, which have been on here about 2 months with little use.There is 1 small scrape near the top of the body and a small imperfection near the top volume knob and no other finish flaws besides some small spots on the back where the plastic plates fit on, these happened during the mods. The plates are really cheap plastic, but they do fit on snug and none of the screws are stripped.Comes with the trem bar and a Hardshell case that was to fit the US version of the same guitar, but to fit this I had to shave a little styrofoam off underneath the fabric where the neck heel fits because this version has more wood there to accommodate the tremolo. You may want to take more off to make it fit better, which will require a good styrofoam cutter. As it is now, the guitar is well-protected but doesn't fit in the slot the way it should.I took the pics I thought I'd need to see if I wanted to buy it, if you need more let me know.I have posted this on the Parker forum as well as Reverb, so I may have to pull it before the end if someone else buys it.Thanks for looking!Ask me some questions.
