100% FEEDBACKHere's an Awesome 1997 Gibson Historic 1960 Les Paul reissue from Crossroads Guitars USA !!An amazingly fabulous 1997 Gibson Historic 1960 Les Paul reissue. This is one of those special Gibson Historic Les Paul reissues from a highly regarded era in Gibson History that has been notably referred to as the " Gibson Good Wood era ". Should you not know about this during the 1993 to the 1999 time period Gibson often used especially high grade maple flame tops for many of their Historic 1959 & 1960 Les Paul reissues.This gorgeous beauty remains in totally factory original condition ie...Great & powerful sounding axe with killer '57 Classic p/up's. Original Everything !! This collector owned guitar features an exceptionally Killer 4AAAA+ Tiger Striped Chevron flame maple top that's finished in the beautiful Heritage Darkburst finish with the much preferred Dark back finished mahogany body & 1960 slimmer neck profile that plays incredibly smooth with fast action up & down the neck. It features an exceptionally Dark Brown Rosewood fret board that, color wise, appears very similar in color compared to the look of the Dark Brazilian Rosewood fret boards appearance on a great many of the original vintage Gibson 1958,1959,& 1960 Les Paul Standard models from way back in the day.Cosmetically the guitars condition remains in outstanding condition when compared to many other 20 year old guitars. This beautiful guitar exhibits finish checking throughout on it's gorgeous flamed maple top only,(see pic #9). A single small nick is located on it's top near the 3 way selector switch (seen in pic #9,zoomed x 10.) Additionally a single moderate size indent is located between the front & back tone controls (glad to forward pic). Only an absolute minimal number of fine finish only scratches are present anywhere on the entire guitar !! The most obvious finish blemish is a single isolated finish chip that was present on it's backside edge & was present at the time of my 2011 purchase (see pic#10.) There is no visible ding or indent present that would indicate any certain cause of this noted blemish. A couple of near inconsequential nicks/dings are present on the neck collar & tip of the Bass side/top side Headstock edge (send me an email pic request for these super minor imperfections & I will promptly forward those pics to interested buyers via Ebay email .)A few additionally cool aspects of this 20 year old Gibson Historic 1960 Les Paul reissue is that it was originally sold & shipped to Yamano Music, Japan's largest Gibson dealer/distributor at that time. It's been well documented & known over the years that Yamano Music paid Gibson a premium above normal dealer cost to get the best of the best High Grade maple flame topped Gibson guitars for their sale in the Japanese market place. Obviously this guitar is a premium example of that then existing business agreement between between the 2 companies. And this is one exceptionally fine example of the mid 1990's " Gibson Good Wood era ",that's not often seen or sold. It's also an exceptionally rare find when any mid 90's Gibson Historic Les Paul reissue are accompanied with a Gibson factory COA as Gibson first officially began providing Certificate's of Authenticity in 1999 with the 40th anniversary R9's. I have seen less than 10 total mid 90's Historic Les Paul reissues with COA's. The COA accompanied the guitar when I purchased this guitar from a Canadian dealer during 2011 as previously noted.The truss rod works perfectly & the neck is arrow straight with no cracks,repairs,or mods.Frets are in exceptionally great shape for any 20 year old guitar with only a small number of very minor indents in the Cowboy chord area 1st to 3rd frets. Easily 99 % .A lifetime of play remaining .Guitar weighs 9 lbs.13oz .
