Up for sale is my Kramer Pacer Carrera. I am the original owner of this guitar. I purchased it new from Guitar Center in Chicago in 1983. The Pacer Carrera was Kramers "top of the line" guitar at the time. Built with the best of everything. This unique guitar only came in gloss black with black chrome hardware and black neck. This guitar is 100% original. That means EVERYTHING including the finish, electronics, hardware, pickups, down to every screw. Except for new strings (VH 5150) it is just as it came from the factory. String and pickup height are unchanged from factory settings. The neck is arrow straight and has never been removed from the body. Original frets have literally no wear. I have taken many HD pictures to verify the condition of this awesome and rare collector guitar. The back cover and electronics cavity cover were removed for photos and are included and have been reinstalled. This guitar is set up with 008 gauge strings and has been calibrated to perfect intonation. Overall condition is a 9.5 out of 10. There are no stress cracks. No belt buckle rash. Keep in mind this guitar is 34 years old. This guitar spent most of its life in the case which is included. What keeps me from rating it a ten, perfect, a museum piece?
There was a chip in the clear coat about the size of a pencil erase that I had professionally touched up years ago. It is a very good repair but not 100% invisible . It's right next to the bridge pickup. Also there a few very minor light scratches in the clear coat mostly, on the back. I believe they would polish out. The guitar sounds incredible and has amazing tonal range. When using the bridge pickup you get that amazing VH tone as Eddie was working with Kramer at the time. You can also get more of a Les Paul tone when using both or neck pickups. Please note the condition of the original (German made) Floyd Rose trem. Unlike most old guitars there is no rust, or corrosion in the trem saddles or string blocks, or on the pickup pole screws. Obviously this piece has been well cared for and preserved.
Good luck bidding and may the most deserving person win. Buyer pays shipping.
