This really IS a gorgeous instrument. Pictures cannot do it justice. This is a VERY RARE BEAST. And..when I say rare, I mean RARE. When I say BEAST, that is because it is one of, if not THE FASTEST guitars I have ever played. This is THE consummate "shredder's" guitar, a 1985 Kramer Pacer Deluxe Special Edition. You may also wish to know just how I know it was formerly owned by EVH and that answer is easy,....he gave it to me...still in the box in 1985. We took it out together...(along with his brother in law, Patrick Bertinelli) and played it for the first time, together, on his couch in Malibu. Good times. He used to get this special edition direct from Kramer 2 or 3 at a time from the factory!!! Must be nice!! This one came in along with a black one with all black hardware and a maple neck/fretboard with black dots. Gorgeous. I had the choice of that one too. I actually played that one several times as well at shows..(photos included). I learned some years later that it had been stolen. Damn thief had no idea what he stole. These Kramers are so very hard to find especially in these "glory" years with the banana headstock, Special Edition, made in USA and ALL ORIGINAL!!! ....NO MODS!!! Even the CASE is original!!!! I am now sponsored by Tom Anderson and am getting rid of some inventory and this one must go unfortunately. Good luck!!! |
