Up for auction is one of the cleanest examples of s 1959 Gibson ES-225TD I've ever seen. The action is low and sweet with flatwound nickel strings setup for playing jazz. Change the strings out for round wound and you have a rocker par excellence. I used to play one of these exclusively in the 70s through my Alembic Fender Twin Reverb - wow.The original finish is in excellent condition, temperature and humidity controlled over the years, no signs of checking in the beautiful Gibson Kalamazoo USA factory sunburst finish.The tuners are not original and are exact Kluson late 50s period replacements.Everything functions beautifully and this guitar is a joy to behold and to play.Comes with a non-original 1960s Gibson fitted plush hardshell tan case with Schiaparelli pink plush lining and matching satin drape cloth, and combination locking latch.
