A lovely Wheatstone 48 key treble English concertina from the last quarter of the 19th century. It has bushed bone buttons-the bushings are important as they keep the action quiet-and most bone buttons are not bushed!It has rosewood ends , 4 fold bellows and most importantly-nickel silver reeds -which give a gentle, drawing room sound-which is very mellow -and would certainly suit a singer.The concertina has been restored and has new valves, straps, pads and is tuned to concert pitch-unlike almost all on Ebay. This concertina has had £300 spent on it-which almost all concertinas bought on Ebay will need doing before they are any use to anyone.This period of Wheatstone concertina is often the choice of the people who play classical concertina music and follow the style of Regondi. It comes in its original case which appears to have a lock and is only missing the leather strap-which is an easy fix.A really lovely concertina-quick playing with a beautiful tone-Don't Miss It! Postage would be £20 -by courier-insured in the U.K. It would be £60 to the States.
