PRS CE Amber The PRS CE24 is a new bolt-on USA-made model for 2016. This resonant, snappy and versatile guitar combines PRS workmanship and attention to detail with classic feel and biting tone. The mahogany body with maple top delivers massive sustain, while the maple neck and rosewood fretboard add brightness. The neck has a Pattern Thin carve and satin nitro finish for supreme playability. A pair of PRS 85/15 have immense clarity and enhanced high and low end for a humbucker that gives more dynamics than the norm. A 3-way selector and coil splitting capabilities give you 6 distinct sounds. Remember, every PRS guitar we sell  is setup in house at Musicstreet prior to sale to ensure that you recieve in perfect condition. The PRS CE 24 was originally introduced all the way back in 1988 as a way of delivering the traditional bolt on snap on a PRS guitar. Now in 2016 it is coming back with a bunch of new updated features that give you the same incredible PRS core quality at a fraction of the price.  Bolt On Design: From the front this guitar still looks like any other core PRS. Figured maple top, bird inlays and a set of powerful PRS hardware all of the features you would expect on a Custom 24 or similar. Under the hood and round the back you can see quite a few changes though that make this a completely different tone machine. It still has the curved Mahogany body topped with flamed maple that PRS are well known for but the neck is made out of Maple instead of the usual Mahogany. This works along with the bolt on design adding brightness and snap to the tone. Pure Playability: Part of what made the original PRS CE24 guitars so popular was how easy they were to play. They were stripped back and offered great playability for the price. This guitar follows in the same way with a 'Pattern Thin' neck that lets your hands flow with ease across the fretboard and the highly adjustable PRS tremolo so you can set the guitar up exactly how you want. 85/15 Pickups: Unlike some of the other PRS year based designs the 85/15 are based on the pickup Paul Reed Smith would have ideally had back when he started the company in 1985. These are highly versatile especially in the CE24 where they gain extra high end bite that works perfectly for hard rock and metal. That is not all it is limited to as these vintage voiced pickups roll back wonderfully for blues and rock players as well that like a bit of breakup without too much saturation. Here's what PRS say about the CE24 Since the dawn of rock and roll, the snap and response that comes from a bolt-on neck guitar has been an essential part of the mix. These attributes have, in turn, become essential to many players trying to tell their story through music. The CE 24 brings the bolt-on platform back to the main PRS lineup with some significant updates. The CE 24 pairs PRS's traditional body combination of the mahogany back and maple top with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The neck sports a Pattern Thin carve and satin nitro finish for a natural, addictive feel. To further maximize the guitar's inherent tone and clarity, the CE 24 features PRS 85/15 pickups, which Paul designed to have remarkable clarity as well as extended high and low end. The electronics consist of a volume and push/pull tone control with 3-way toggle switch for a total of six classic sounds. The original CE was to introduced in 1988 and offered players PRS design and quality with the added snap and sparkle of traditional bolt-on guitars. Returning after nearly a decade of being out of the lineup, the CE 24 is back and better than ever. Check one out today.
