I am the 2nd owner, having purchased it in Oct 1988. This guitar has serious mojo. Definitely a player’s guitar. It has seen many gigs both on-stage and in the studio. It is obvious that the original owner had numerous gigs under hot lights causing him to sweat all over the neck and body of this guitar causing the finish to wear away in certain areas. This has no effect on the sound or playability of the guitar. Several serious LA studio musicians have said “this thing is great” or “major mojo” confirming this is still a high-quality instrument with many years left on the odometer. The neck was refretted (sometime mid-80’s) prior to my purchase by an expert here in LA. Two of the top luthiers in town have said how well the job was done. Barely any wear on the new frets. I believe the tuners are also replacements, not 100% sure, but they have a great authentic and vintage look. They too are expertly installed and work perfectly. I will also include a tune-o-matic bridge and extra tailpiece. But remember, this guitar was originally intended to have a wrapped G string, so keep this in mind while evaluating intonation.Serial Number: 612327Nut Width: 1 11/16″, Weight: 7 lbs. 2 oz.This ’72 Gibson ES-175 features the original cherry sunburst finish, a double-bound laminated maple body construction, a 3-piece mahogany neck with a transitional low profile volute, a rosewood fingerboard with double-parallelogram inlays, (2) humbucking pickups with chrome Gibson-embossed covers, the original trapeze tailpiece, crown headstock inlay, a 1 11/16″ nut width, black witch hat knobs, "Made in USA" stamp, the Gibson pantograph headstock logo, and a Gibson deluxe hard shell case.Hate to see this one go but I’m moving and it’s time to cut down on the collection. This belongs in the hands of someone that will enjoy it for years to come. I sure did. Everyone loves it. I tried my best to capture the guitar’s spirit and physical condition in the photos.  I'm happy to take/send others on request. Please do not hesitate to ask questions. Thanks for looking!
