Mid-1963 mid-1965 vintage Fender STRATOCASTER TORTOISESHELL pickguard!!!!! This guard is original and near impossible to come by! The guard is not as red as it appears in most photos. It is darker. The first photo is the closest. Comes with shielding plate. This is THE pickguard for some Fender custom color guitars!!! Blonde especially!!!!! CONDITION: Lots of wear and scratches. If you could buff some of the surfaces scratches out, this would work on a nice condition guitar. I however, it were left as-is, it would be most suitable on an average condition guitar. The photos represent the condition. The Fender guards from this era shrink and MAY need some slight modification to fit on your guitar. The key is usually to install the middle screws and work your way to the outside...being very careful to not break the tips. Sometimes you have to Dremil the neck pickup rout a little. Sometimes you may have to move the screw holes a little. NEVER do this on a very clean guitar. Some would advise against this...so let your level of fascination be your guide.
