NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM. NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE DO NOT ASK.Not many horns more collectable or unique than this. A "wrap" unlike any other, the letters "O", "L", "D" and "S" engraved on the valve caps (which my repair tech temporarily reordered to "SOLD"), "Super" style braces throughout and of course a "Super" style nickel-silver "kranz" or tone ring on the bell. I purchased it 2-3 years ago from a history professor who many years ago in his high school days years ago purchased it from his horn teacher. The horn is in good playing condition and reasonably nice cosmetic condition for 70 years or more old, see photos. Valves fast and freely with no sticking (exception: 1st valve gets a little sluggish if 1st cap twisted on too tight but works fine otherwise). Slides all move smoothly, still a nice 'pop' if you pull any slide. Signs of prior dent work in a few places on bell. A fair amount of lacquer loss inside bell at contact points. Braces all tight, no signs of major repair work or trauma. It was given an ultrasonic cleaning in the latter half of 2016. In my opinion, it plays with full pleasant sound, tends to favor lower and middle register just a bit over the upper register. It is ready to play, needs no work. The wrap is a tad larger in diameter than at least some modern horns, for example it will not even fit in my Holton case.Comes with hardshell SKB replacement case that is fairly nice condition, pictured in background.Shipping by FedEx ground insured.
