Conn 79H Professional  TromboneFrom the Fabled Elkhart Factory8 Inch Yellow Brass BellTraditional Wrap F Attachment.522 Medium BoreReally Excellent Slide ActionSerial Number K34XXX- 1967Let's get the disclaimer done first- I am a Conn guy. I played and still own and treasure a Conn 88H my parents bought for me from the Elkhart days. While I have played the high end custom horns for the last years, they are all variations based on the Elkhart Conns. This is the slightly smaller version of the legendary 88H that Conn built to appeal to the person wanting a great horn that could fit easily into a jazz setting but also play classicly. A crossover on the same idea as a bach 36. It is very easy to see hear and feel the connection to the Elkhart 88h's. This is a trombone that has a "sizzle" or vibrancy you just do not find in other trombones. I will be selling a very nice professional jazz trombone that came to me at the same time as this one arrived and there is no comparison in sound. This one has a warm sweet sound with slow warm air and then brightens considerable as you push the air through it. It can play pedals easily but will soar into th highest  trombone range. It is truly a joy to play and will make you a better player. This one came to me with a few dents that have been eliminated professionally. The slide however was excellent and I did have it cleaned. It is now superb, fast free smooth and quiet. There is no plating wear through on the inner tubes- a frequent weakness of the Elkharts. Lacquer finish is quite good as you can see from the pictures- it is a beautiful trombone.Comes with a Bach case in good condition less the one covering scrape on the side. Also a Conn 3 mouthpiece- probably the original for the horn. These do not show up very often, I don't think many were made. A rare horn in excellent condition that plays superbly. Should be a good value with new F attachment trombones selling for about $3000.I will ship very well packed to the lower 48 states for $60 and elsewhere by US Postal s/ervice for actual cost. Europe and Japan should expect to pay about $100 for shippign Australia a bit more.No reserve or Buy It Now on this one - Auction will set the price and High Bidder wins it!!!
