Description
Brand: Gibson Exact Year: 1954
Model: ES-125

Selling my '54 Gibson ES-125. I've owned this guitar for about 10 years and have kept it in top shape. The neck is straight, it's properly set up, it got a fret job about a year ago, and it plays great.Comes with a Taylor gig bag. There are few modifications that have been made:1. Tuners have been upgraded to German made Schallers. Huge improvement to the originals IMO.2. A strap button has been added to the base of the neck. This enables you to play it standing up wearing a strap.3. The original P-90 pickup has been swapped out for a Bartonlini humbucker. I do have the original P-90 and will include it with the guitar if you want it. The guitar was not modified in any noticeable way to accomodate the humbucker. I found that the P-90 buzzed too much and prefer the sound with the humbucker. This guitar offers a lot of bang for your buck, it has a big acoustic sound and is great for trad jazz, straight ahead, and blues.I'm selling it only because I recently purchased a hand made carved top archtop guitar. I'd prefer to keep it but I need the cash to pay for the new guitar.Unfortunately Ebay will not allow me to put a link to youtube here, but I have a video of me playing the guitar on there. If you search for "Q Morrow A Single Petal of a Rose" you can get an idea of how the guitar sounds.
