Up for auction is a very nice Amati Kraslice Double French Horn. This instrument is in very good original condition and plays very well. The valves move well with very good valve compression and the slides all move of course. As for the aesthetic condition of the instrument, there are a few small dings and pings and some light scratching throughout the instrument, and a few patches of silver wear. The only really significant wear on the horn is inside the bell flare where there is a large patch of silver wear, and on the handguards. The minor imperfections are visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. The engraving on the bell reads CK/ AMATI KRASLICE/ AHR 343.". This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability. This instrument comes with a worn hardshell case and a mouthpiece in good condition.
How the horn plays: Thick, warm, full sound. Mellow and smooth tone. Has a very good sound, but plays very differently from other doubles due to its small bore size which gives it a bit of resistance. The F and Bb side timbres match very well. The horn has a good dynamic range. The low and high registers speak well. All horns are located at Silver & Brass Music Shop710 N. Curry St. Carson City, NV89703(775) 301-6289
