Hi,Thanks for looking at my beautiful banjo. This thing sounds incredible and plays better than any Deering or Mastertone I've ever put my hands on. 12" ring, the wood is walnut and the fingerboard is persimmon which is a member of the ebony family. The fingerboard has black lines in the grain which have darkened since I've owned it. Please give it a good home. Email me any questions. Cheers
