If you are looking at these you know what they are. The Gibson Flying V2, to my mind was a beautiful guitar design, even cooler than the regular Flying V. These were made around 1980. Unfortunately there are no replacement pickups made for them, and these were a unique humbucker design by Bill Lawrence. The pickups were potted in epoxy so are not repairable. I bought this set 15 years ago when the Kalamazoo factory guys at Heritage were dumping alot of historical NOS parts and gear at auctions. These are brand new, never installed, never played, completely "new old stock." A set that was parted out sold a few months ago for $700 but they were all beat up. I'm asking $1500 for these shipping included, but will consider offers. I don't really care if they sell or not, I'm thinking about doing a framed picture box of them to hang on the wall as they are just cool to look at. The plastic film over the covers has never been taken off. The rings have some very light scuffing from being in some box of stuff at Kalamazoo years ago, but installed on a guitar you'll never notice it. If you need these don't miss this chance. When I bought there I remember there were maybe 3 of these sets offered, all sold and there simply aren't ever going to be another set of NOS V2 pickups you'll ever see anywhere. I may put them on Reverb too, so GRAB NOW if you need to restore your V2. Thanks for looking....
