_______________________________________________________________________________Up for sale is my G&L USA Legacy Custom Guitar.
Made in USA. Not an import model, and you can clearly tell the difference. I've tried owning a couple of G&L Tribute model guitars, and they felt like toys next to this USA-made G&L. The Tribute's were utter garbage with many flaws in their construction, and no where near the tonal bliss of my USA-made model. Not even in the ballpark. Each Tribute model I purchased was very quickly given it's marching orders. If you are going to buy a G&L guitar, then you owe it to yourself to invest in a USA-made model.
Also includes the following items:
- Tesla String Dampener.
- G&L Lockable Molded Hardcase.
- Official Documentation & Spec Sheet.
- Tools and Keys.
And as you can see from the spec sheet, the guitar has had some expensive upgrades:
- Motor City Pickups 2nd Degree Black Belt Bridge Pickup.
- Suhr V54 Single-Coil Middle Pickup.
- Motor City Pickups 2nd Degree Black Belt Neck Pickup.
- 5 Way Super Switch.
- White/Black/White H-S-H Pickguard.
- Schaller Locking Tuners.

In mint, near-new, fully-functional condition. Clean as a whistle (see pics).

Purchased brand new as a custom order from a US Dealer. It's been much loved and totally babied. Mostly been a case queen. As incredible as the guitar is, I've never liked the feel of a hard-tail under my right hand. I prefer the feel of a Floyd Rose bridge under there, and those are the guitars I always grab when it's time to play. When I ordered this G&L guitar, Floyd Rose bridges were not an option. There was only the Saddle Lock Fixed bridge as on this guitar, or the Dual Fulcrum which I totally loathe. There were a number of times when I almost sent this guitar off to be retro-fitted with a Floyd Rose bridge so that I'd play it more often. But I'm glad I didn't as it probably would have drastically altered the guitar's incredible tone.

Very reluctant sale. It's been my best sounding guitar to date. Seriously great sounding guitar this one. The hand-wound Motor City 2nd Degree Black Belts really get the most from the guitar. Does everything from clean to scream. Even does thumping metal rhythm tones through a high-gain amp. The 2nd Degree Black Belts are incredible. I may have them removed from the guitar and replaced with something else as I don't want to sell them seeing as how special they sound. Not to mention what I went through to get them and what they cost.
Plays like a dream too with the PLEK fret dressing. Clean action with no fret buzz. The fret finishing and dressing is perfection.
And there's some very sweet, 3-dimensional detail in the figuring of the maple neck that didn't show up in the pics.I'm
selling all my fixed bridge guitars to help fund my dream guitar; a custom build with a Floyd.
Yes, I grew up in the 80's (oh wow, I'm getting old) playing Floyd bridge guitars. So yeah, I just prefer Floyds.
But I'm very sorry to see this one go.
