Product Description The new Epiphone Ltd. Ed. Red Royale Collection features three of Epiphone's most popular classics in a beautiful Red Pearl color finish. The striking Red Pearl finish is reminiscent of the first wave of custom colors made by Epiphone in the 1960s and has a warm, deep, scarlet tone that’s set off by Epiphone’s distinctive Royale Collection Silver Sparkle binding. Each Red Royale Collection instrument features all of the modern, top-shelf pickups and hardware you’ve come to expect from Epiphone - in other words, the Royale Treatment! And every Royale guitar collection needs a superior archtop like the Ltd. Ed. Riviera Custom P93 Red Royale. The Ltd. Ed. Riviera Custom P93 Red Royale is modeled after one of Epiphone’s most enduring classics, the Riviera. First introduced in the early ‘60s, the Epiphone Riviera’s semi-hollow design has been a favorite of players from all genres and generations including blues great Otis Rush, Robben Ford, Lou Reed of the Velvet Underground, and The Strokes’ Nick Valensi, who have all found that the Riviera’s legendary ES-body shape can produce great tones with any pickup variation. Over the years, the Riviera has been seen with humbuckers, mini-humbuckers, and P-90s. But now the Custom P-93 Red Royale has the rare distinction of giving players a new sound and a new distinctive look. What was refurbished on this guitar: When this guitar came in from the factory, the authorized refurbisher couldn't find anything wrong with it. No repairs or modifications were made to the guitar - they simply gave it a set-up and left it alone. This is a discontinued model. It looks and plays like new. Back of the headstock is stamped "used" and original serial # has been replaced with a new one.
