For Sale:Vintage 1970 Elkhart Conn 88H Tenor Trombone with F Attachment and Case. Will include mouthpiece and case. This is the famous Conn 88H Tenor Trombone - Elkhart model. This is from the much-desired N serial number line before they moved the factory from Elkhart.-In great working condition. I used this horn for gigs over the last 15 years and it served me well.
-Large Elkart 88H bore
-Had a slide and rotor trigger job in 2008.
-All working tuning slides. No major dents or dings.
-The horn had a brace repair just north of the trigger before I owned it. It's firm and has never broken on me. (See pic)
-The body is slightly offset and the slide is closer to the bell than on modern horns. This has never proven to be an issue with me and I've never wanted to change this because I don't want to compromise the integrity of the horn braces.
-The lacquer and nickel has naturally worn off after 47 years of use. This is a pro for some players.
This would be a GREAT horn for a beginner looking to step up, or a pro looking for a vintage trombone with that historic Conn88H sound!I will accept returns under the following conditions:-No damage-Buyer pays return shipping-Within 14 days of arrival signatureHappy to answer any questions!
