Not quite the holy grail, ..... that would be the original "Blackie"..... but this is rare item indeed.For auction is my American Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster. An Eric Clapton autographed 'Blackie' edition Strat.!As a rule, Clapton doesn't sign the Fender Clapton edition guitars. Back in April, 1998, he signed several for BADD. Bikers Against Drunk Drivers. These were signed for the fundraising of BADD's charity work.
I was lucky enough to be affiated with BADD at that time, and this is my guitar, part of my personal collection. Yes, that was my business card and my name and number is blacked out, but it will be disclosed to the auction winner.Look at the head stock. Check the signature. They match. I've only seen one autographed 'Blackie' for auction a decade ago. You won't find another one.Questions? Please ask.
Included in the original Fender hard case. Guitar will be shipped priority, insurance will be additional.This is not a signed pickguard put on this guitar after the fact. The actual guitar is signed!Check out the others for sale, and you can wonder how Clapton signed under the volume knob!
