Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul 1954 Goldtop reissue - R4 1996.It's been modified with humbuckers (known as the "Jeff Beck MOD"). Comes with the original hardshell case. Both guitar and case are in excellent condition.The Custom Shop Joe Bonnamassa pickups (no longer in production. Only 1959 sets were made. Pickups are hand signed by Joe & Seymour Duncan). Seymour duplicated the pickups out of Joe's favorite Goldtop. The Pickup set sells for $500 to $800.There is a small ding on the top of the headstock and a small one near the nut. There are two small marks on the top. There is also a bit of what looks like finish checking around the controls and the pickups (see pictures). Stamped R4 in the body of guitar.This instruments plays fantastic, it has a great med thick neck with perfect frets (no fret wear) and low action. The fretboard is made of very rich figured Madagascar Rosewood.This is a fabulous guitar - it plays great, sounds awesome, and has a super-cool vintage look to it. The guitar has sustain for days. Jeff Beck had his '54 modded exactly the same way. There's something about the wraptail bridge that makes this special.Weight is just 9 pounds. One Piece Body. Some have stated the early 90's Custom shop guitars were the best woods & vintage correct design.
