There is not much to add to add to the photos. This is a vintage 1978 Gibson The Paul with a first generation Pro 1, 2 latch red lined protector case. It began its life as a satin finish solid walnut guitar with an ebony neck. It has been restored with its original electronics and original Humbucking pickups by String King Products, Akron, OH. John Mosconi is among the best luthiers in the country. He is also a factory authorized Gibson repair station. The finish is now high gloss dark tobacco sunburst. The frets are new. The old ones were fine but the new ones are a bit higher to allow easier bending. The original finger board is ebony. The 3 position toggle switch is now a mini toggle. It was relocated as shown to allow installation of a top mounted Bigsby. This Bigsby uses an adapter plate. The original stop bar body hardware is in place. No additional holes were needed. There are no scuffs, scratches, dents or dings. Any finish blemishes in the photos are from the flash especially the dots in the bout shot. Shaller strap locks are installed. The strap ends are in the case pocket. There is some dust under the bridge and strings. It is included with no extra charge. The finish quality is beyond description. The serial number is 72198535. The Made in USA is faint under the number because the number of coats filled it. That is also true of the serial number although it is more legible.The case is about as good as you will ever find. There are no scuffs, cracks, or dents. The pocket flap reads Gibson as does the outside cover. This is the original 2 latch model. Both latches are intact. The lining is flawless. There are depressions in the top lining pad from the Bigsby handle as shown. The original knobs, stop bar, stop bar studs, strap buttons and strap button screws are included.
