What makes this guitar special: This one has a ton going for it…first, it’s a ‘70s Tele that weighs under 8lbs, perfect for long nights of playing. Second, the shade of the finish hasn’t really aged with time, maintaining its beautiful walnut color without fading into the dark brown you see on so many of these. And when you see the case, you’ll understand why-the interior is absolutely pristine! This one was likely case kept for most of its life, until it sold to a player who gave it the love it deserved. It’s got a few bumps and bruises, but it’s entirely original, and plays absolutely beautifully. Plus, it comes professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play right out of the case. Cosmetic condition: Good condition for its age, with some standard playwear throughout. Various scratches, nicks, dents, dings, scuffs, and chips throughout, with some visible edgewear and pickwear on the pickguard. Overall, this piece has a great look to it, with a gorgeous patina.Body: Solid alder body in walnut finish with 3-ply black pickguard and string-through six saddle bridge.Weight: 7 lb, 11.2 ozNeck: C-shaped maple neck with black side dots and black dot inlays. 1 5/8” nut width, 25 1/2” scale length. Neck dates to ’73. Headstock sports a black Fender decal, dual string trees, and original Fender tuners, in perfect working condition. Bullet truss rod functions normally. Neck is straight and plays beautifully up and down the length of the fingerboard.Electronics: Dual Fender wide-range humbuckers (Neck-10.41K ohms, Bridge-11.41K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and black witch hat knobs, 2x volume, 2x tone. Pots date to ’73, pickups date to ’74, and all electronics are in fully functional condition.Case: Original hard shell case included, along with original bridge cover. The lining in the top of the case has come detached along the top edge, but doesn’t look to be going anywhere, with the sides still firmly intact.
