What makes this guitar special: The history of Guyatone dates back to 1933 in Tokyo, made by Matsuki Seisakujo. In '51 the Guyatone brand is first used on guitars & basses and are among the earliest US imports. It's a bit difficult to put an exact date on this lovely LG-60H, but it appears to have been made sometime in the late '50s / early '60s. Sporting a very light-weight chambered body along with a super chunky, V-shaped neck, this gorgeous blonde has a wonderful, natural acoustic tone to it & is very enjoyable to play. Cosmetic Condition: Really nice condition for its age, showing typical play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & mild finish wear. The pickup covers & bezels show some cracks, but overall the guitar has a great look to it with a super cool, true vintage vibe.Neck: Chunky, V-shaped maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & block fret markers. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with model decal on the back. Nickel, open-back tuners are in good working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 25" scale length.Body: Double-bound, chambered maple body with some pretty birdseye figuring.
