This is a 1983 'Sunburst' Burny RLG 50 Super Grade '59 Les Paul Style guitar with many upgrades. It has a unique looking solid Maple top that has some depth with a slight figure to it, and a hue that kind of changes with the light (as seen in the photos). It also has a 2 piece Mahogany back with some flame in the middle and a one piece Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fingerboard. The pickup selector switch, bone nut, and tuners are all original. The electronics have all been upgraded and wired up 50's style with vintage correct 'pro style' vintage braided wire, RS SuperPots (see details below), and vintage Sprague .022 192p 'Orange Pacer' tone caps (the same kind Slash has in his Derrig Les Paul). This guitar has also been upgraded with Seymour Duncan 'Slash' APH-2 Pickups, vintage style steel tailpiece studs, and nickel plated brass bridge posts with brass thumbwheels (like original Bursts). The brass bridge posts and thumbwheels combined with the natural aging of the wood of this guitar give it a much sought after vintage sound. This is one of the best sounding Les Pauls I have ever had the privilege of owning and playing and it would hold it's own against any Gibson Les Paul. This guitar comes with a newer, and very nice, hardshell case (non original), and it's original pick-guard. The pick-guard is not on the guitar in the pics but it can be seen in one of the pictures above laying next to the case. The guitar has has been set up with fairly low action (Gibson recommended string height) and intonated, and also has brand new Ernie Ball .10 Slinky strings put on it. The neck is pretty straight without any real fret buzz. I say "any real" because if you play hard, then your undoubtedly going to have fret buzz with lower action. The guitar has a great sound, it is warm, yet very open sounding with lots of sustain. It is perfect for any kind of music you desire to play. You can't beat the value you get for the price you pay for one of these vintage MIJ Burny Les Paul style guitars. Especially since they have been crafted to the same vintage correct specs, woods, and glue as those of the iconic late 50's Bursts. Which is a fraction of what you would pay for a Gibson Historic model, which are not always made to the correct vintage specs.
This guitar is just an amazing example of an 'MIJ' guitar from an era that is known for exceptional build quality and by one of the more respected builders, brands and models, the Burny Super Grade RLG 50. These late 70's to early 80's models are the more sought after MIJ guitars because of their amazing quality of build, tone, and playablitly, as they are well known for being some of the best "Burst" replica's on the planet. They are getting harder to find as people are becoming less likely to part with them. As the their legend grows, so does the desire to own them, so don't let this one get away!
I will be happy to answer any questions you may have to the best of my ability, so please feel free to ask them. Thank you for looking! * Note about the Pictures: The guitar is not quite as bright as it looks in the photos, but when you flash light on it, like the flash of the camera, it really shines and shows the depth. The color changes from dark to light depending on the ambiance of the surroundings, and it really enhances the figure in the wood. It really is a very beautiful top on a guitar. Specs:Year: 1983Model: Burny Super GradeWeight: 10 poundsSerial: N/AFinish: Sunburst with a dark Cherry backBody: Solid Maple top/2 piece Mahogany back Neck: One piece Mahogany neck Neck Dimensions: 1st fret - .880 in., 12th fret - .927 in.Fingerboard: RosewoodFrets: Original frets and fret binding have been leveled but there is still plenty of  life left in them (this    was done before I had the guitar)Nut: Bone; 1.710 in. widePickups: Seymour Duncan 'Slash' APH-2 PickupsElectronics: Wired up 50's style with pro style vintage braided wiring; vintage Sprague .022 192p  'Orange Pacer' tone caps; RS Guitarworks SuperPots™(U.S. Standard size)Tuners: Are the originals - Gotoh tulip Style with single ringUp Grades:

It has a few surface scratches, and marks in the finish (see pics above), however, no buckle rash, no deep gashes, no cracks, no breaks of any kind. But use the pics above to make your own assessment, because in the end, that is the only thing that matters.
