I don't know much about the history of this guitar but I do know it's a 1984 American HSS Fender Stratocaster. It has a few cosmetic issues but that is pretty fashionable with an older Strat. It has a licensed Floyd Rose made by Gotoh. The guitar was not built for that kind of tremolo but it really doesn't present any problems. It's very stiff so it doesn't dive as loosely as a usual Floyd Rose but those kind of whammy bar tricks are still possible, and, you could loosen some of the springs which could make that easier. It holds its tuning very well as long as you have the locks on the nut. It's really a great sounding guitar! And it can do ANYTHING. I play a lot of shredding metal on it but I also have taken it to blues jams and it really gets those Jimmy Hendrix/Stevie Ray Vaughn qualities. There's no style of music that I haven't been able to get a satisfactory tone for with this guitar. I'm in a bit of financial trouble right now and I don't give it the attention and care it deserves. I'm hoping to find a good home for it here. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
