Up for auction is a vintage Conn 8D French horn that is in good shape for its age. According to the Conn-Selmer website, the serial number ages this horn around 1987. The instrument has typical cosmetic flaws for its age, but plays nicely with good rotor compression for a 30 year old instrument. At some point, it appears that a few dents have been rolled out of the bell flare (shown in pictures), but there are no breaks in the metal from repair. The bell is in very good shape. All of the slides and rotors move freely. The instrument comes with a used Holton Farkas mouthpiece. The case lining has come unglued in a few spots, but the outer shell is in very good shape. However, the case does open all the way flat because the cloth keeper strap has gone missing at some point over the years. All of the latches are intact and work properly. At the end of the auction, please pay via PayPal. There are no returns on this auction. Please, no international bidders. Thanks!
