1901 VINTAGE PARLOR GUITAR REGAL 20th CENTURY MODEL 255, MADE BY WULSCHNER & SONS INDIANAPOLIS IND.
This is a very cool old guitar. I am told it was built in the 1901 it is a Regal branded model, but it has no label anywhere, that information was given to me by a kind Ebay member. It is a model 255 I was given information by a few avid collectors who have much more knowledge about these guitar than I do. It is in fair condition overall, it would be a Wonderful display guitar. The action is about right for a guitar of this vintage, it had a riser nut on it and was likely played that way for much or all of its life. Has a nice set of vintage tuners likely original, the bridge & tailpiece look to be original . The body is English Oak, the top is Solid spruce and the fingerboard may possibly be pearwood stained to ebony color if my memory is correct. Action is approx. 3/16 right now, the scale length is 24 1/4", nut width is 1 7/8" with a slight V shape neck. Lower bout is 12 7/8" Upper bout 9" these measurements are just approx. not exact.
Doesn't have a serial number that I can find. It does have a 4 digit hand written number inside the sound hole) Please take a good look at the pictures they give a good look at the condition of this guitar. The guitar is playable and would make a fantastic display item and would be a nice addition to a collection. And its priced very reasonable. It has a very unique case the rear entry folds open top to bottom instead of side to side.
From my inspection I believe this guitar is all solid woods. It does have a case & it will be well packed. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
