Hey all,Well the time has finally come (maybe....). Pondering parting with this piece of history. According to everything I can find on this guitar it was only offered in 1991 and very few were ever ordered from Ibanez. A friend of mine(Ian Anderson from IA Guitars in SoCal) bought this from the Custom Ibanez shop in Hollywood, CA in 1991 brand new after selling his comic book collection. A couple years later he ran into money troubles and sold it to me to pay his rent (this was obviously before he got his custom guitar business going lol). It is a U.S.A. Custom UCEWLC1 Exotic wood model with a lacewood top. I played for a couple months before meeting my future ex wife and was never able to pick it up again. It's literally been in storage for over 20 years. It has a couple minor knicks in the clear coat but other than that it's in pristine condition in my opinion. According to an email I received from Ibanez this is the only year they ever offered a lacewood top UCEWLC1 model and the one I have may have been the one they used for the catalog because they were made to order and this one was in the shop to display and use for pictures since all the others were made to order. Part of me is sad it went this long without being used and I'd really like to find it a nice home where it can be appreciated. I asked Ian if he wanted to buy it back and he said it wasn't really his style of guitar which is why he chose to sell this one to me in the first place instead of one of his other guitars. That being said I am trying find the right collector to give this beauty a new home.
