Vintage 1973 Gibson J40 Acoustic Guitar Circa Hardshell Case Kalamazoo LabelUp for sale we have a 1973 Gibson J40. Really great sounding guitar. Its intonation is perfect, its tone lush and creamy. Think Space Oddity or the acoustic sound on a Rolling Stones song like Wild Horses. Its really that good. I always found these be very beautiful looking and playing acoustic guitars. Excellent design and original looking especially with that cool head stock look! They are well made guitars as well. Sounds thick and creamy! Secret weapon here! This guitar is in excellent shape. All relatively light wear and tear. The frets are in excellent condition and everything works. The guitar has minor superficial dings, scratches, wear and tear around various parts of the guitar. Typical of a guitar of this age. As with any guitar that’s been sitting in storage it going to need new strings and set up.
