This is a beautiful and beautiful-playing grenadilla wood instrument built in 1945, according to the serial number, 27894. I just had a number of pads replaced at a firm that builds clarinets, so a real craftsman did the work. He fixed a crack in the horn several years back, and said it is doing very well.
The case is original and in very good condition.
The bass clarinet is owned by our community band, but we have several players who want to play bass clarinet, and we're hoping to sell this one and buy two really good student model horns.
