Up for sale is an EXCELLENT Pancordion, Baton model, 4 rocker accordion, vintage, made in New YorkAccording to the serial number of 1302, it appears to be a 1948 or 1949 model.Four treble and five bass set of reeds...........LMMMThe accordion was updated and tuned by the late master accordion repairman Mario Mosti......
the reed wax is perfect, the reeds are clean and without rust, and the leathers are great140 bass for more bass combinations; the extra basses are next to the counterbasses
and would be minor 3rd counterbasses. The bellows were replaced by Mosti as well..........new and tight.......was played very little
after the work as I have a Guilietti with midi that is my primary boxThe external shell is beautiful.........no scratches and clean..........well cared for.The tuning is NOT Cleveland style at the moment...........2 treble lines are semi-dry,
and one treble line is semi-wet...........if you want the Yankovic sound, I would have at
least the one treble line re-tuned dry. This is a rare accordion, and it's the one you see Frank Yankovic wearing on the
sheet music albumsIf you are a serious accordion player, you know its very difficult to find a vintage
Pancordion made in New York and not Italy..........from the glory days of when the
best boxes were Made in USA.
