The guitar pictured is the actual guitar you will receive! At The Farm, we take actual pictures of each instrument and make sure they are fully set-up and ready to play before we ship them. Each instrument goes through a multi-point inspection, followed by a set-up process by our in-house tech staff. We then photograph each instrument with high-quality equipment in our on-site photography studio. We know that details like wood grain and color finishes can vary, so we want you to be able to see, to the best of our ability, exactly what you will be receiving. This process takes over an hour for each instrument - from inspection to pictures. We care about the instrument we put into your hands! The APX700IIL guitar features styling and specification driven by the 1000 series guitars, but with the addition of the exclusive ART pickup system. Designed to capture the guitar’s full body resonance, ART’s ability to faithfully recreate natural tone and dynamics means that the subtle differences between APX and CPX guitars are perfectly recreated, allowing you to pick the guitar that suits your style and know that character will always shine through. The sound of the APX700IIL begins with a solid Spruce top accompanied by Mah back and sides, with non-scalloped X-type bracing ensuring a powerful yet controlled tone. With an exclusive thinline body shape, the APX700IIL guitar boasts a single cutaway that allows for extended range in your lead playing for when you need to access those upper register notes. The slim taper Nato neck with a RW fretboard and traditional dot inlays will feel comfortable in your fretting hand. APX700II’s thin-line body combines incredible comfort, easy top-fret access and a sound perfectly suited to on-stage use with bright, clear mids, balanced highs and controlled lows. As for cosmetics, this APX700IIL features a beautiful sound hole ring inlay, ivory fretboard and headstock binding, ivory/black body binding, Maple bottom inlay, Mother-of-Pearl APX & Yamaha headstock logos and Mother-of-Pearl position markers. A.R.T.(Acoustic Resonance Transducer) technology - Yamaha acoustic-electric guitars have consistently used piezoelectric pickups to reproduce the pure sounds of the acoustic guitar. But piezoelectric pickups tended to overreact to changes in attack, which in turn caused distortion. To achieve ideal playability, Yamaha improved the way that these dynamics were controlled. To provide a solution to this issue, the new pickup was designed with a multilayer structure consisting of six layers of different materials. This dampens excessive vibration from the topboard while picking up small resonances to achieve ideal sensitivity and outstanding dynamic balance. Also, because the pickup is fitted directly beneath the topboard, it functions as a transducer attached to the body. In addition to two main pickups mounted under the saddle, this system has one each on the bass and treble sides to capture the vibrations of the entire length of the strings and body, as well as the sound's bass and treble components. The pickups are laid out in such a way as to achieve clear reproduction even during high-position soloing. This guitar is required to be listed as seller refurbished by the manufacturer. It has been completely checked over by The Music Farm team, and also by the largest manufacturer refurbishing center in America. Buying one of these guitars is almost like buying a brand new guitar, but getting a huge savings on it! Most of these instruments do not have any visible defects. If there is a visible defect it will be indicated in pictures and in the description. These guitars do not carry the original manufacturer warranty, and in order to prevent invalid warranty claims they are lightly stamped “USED” or “2nd” on the back of the headstock, and the original serial number has been replaced with a new serial number from the refurbishing center.
