I built this banjo for a gentleman in 2014.  I acquired a Gibson Crowe ring, a Gibson USA marked flange and had them mated to a Sullivan Historic Old Growth rim.  The rim has a #303 registry number.  The banjo was returned in March 2017 as a partial trade for a cherry 5 string banjo.  The banjo came in very good condition.  There were a couple of small scuff marks (not buckle rash) on the resonator.  The resonator was wet sanded and the marks buffed out.  The mahogany neck was also wet sanded and buffed back to a high gloss.   The neck has an ebony fingerboard and a 2 way truss rod installed.  Frets are excellent.   Waverly tuners are used through out.The customer wanted his original case returned and the new banjo was returned in his case.  This banjo will be shipped in a new hardshell case.
