Focusrite ISA 428. Original version with sweet VU meters. See description!
Estimated price for orientation: 985 $
Category: Preamps and Channel Strips
Class:
Description Brand: Focusrite Model: ISA 428 Type: Microphone Preamp Features: High Impedance Input, Bypassable Inserts, Variable Impedance, Adjustable high pass filters Number of Channels: 4
4 excellent mic/line/instrument channels with Lundahl transformers, inserts, nice VU meters, variable high pass filter, and my favorite feature, adjustable impedance which gives many different coloring options.Tons of clean gain, one of my only pres that can get an SM7b up to a nice level with headroom and no added noise. As described in the condition, I had a problem when using the digital card. Analog works great, but when I installed a digital card, digital outs 7 and 8 were lower in level and out 1 had noise. I used it anyway for outs 2-4 and I'd jump the out of 1 into AD5, which worked cleanly. I'm selling it without the card and encouraging analog only usage where everything is great. Thoroughly tested all ins and outs with white noise. Used daily at my studio.
