Hello there! We have been asked many times to bring high quality, but more affordable instruments than we usually sell and here is it...)Up for sale is a beautiful Balalaika instrument with stunning flamed maple back. It is handmade by one of the great modern instrument makers, Andrikovski. This instrument is brand new and was completed in February 2017. The Balalaika is made of aged, premium woods, naturally dried (not kiln-dried) flame maple; the body top is resonant spruce; the neck is made of a rosewood and that wood is beeing used on far more expensive balalaikas. This instrument has some weight in it, it has a slightly oversized body and beefy neck, so if you have large palms - here's your chance to buy one.
Please don't be fooled by its price - regarding sound and build quality this instrument comes close to way more expensive Balalaikas made by Pavlov's or Kulikov (contact us for pricing) while costing about a half of its price.
While being priced as "student's balalaika" it features far superior materials when compared to the other instruments in its price range available in stores. This instrument may not have a fancy exterior as our custom "top level" instruments but it's beautiful as it is and I am sure that this instrument will serve you as a workhorse through your career. As you may know, even if wooden musical instruments has same look/same construction and even if two similar looking instruments are taken from "one run" - it still can sound different from each other. All instruments that we sell are chosen and selected by Maestro Alexander Tsygankov himself (my dad, who is People's Artist of the Russian Federation and a professor at Gnesin's Academy of Music). My dad is always auditioning our instruments prior we put it on Ebay and I am very picky when it comes to construction quality as I was dealing with the production of boutique custom electric guitars for all of my life.
So you get that double control on our side)Send me a message if you have any questions about this beautiful Balalaika.
We do have a Domra with hornbeam neck from same "run" made by same luthier.
Check out my other auctions to see 7 other Balalaika and Domra instruments that I sell on Ebay.
