This is a 1976 P Bass. I am the 2nd owner and I bought it around 1978 from the bass player in the house band at Resorts International in Atlantic City NJ. He wanted to get a 5 string so he sold this one to me. I used it until about 1982 for weekend gigs when I stopped playing. So since then it has been sitting in a closet . I plugged it in and it still works, the neck is still straight, and it still sounds great. It had a couple of modifications when I got it, first the bone nut was replaced with a brass nut, secondly the stock bridge was replaced with a Leo Quan Bad Ass Bridge. It comes with the original Fender hard shell case and the original bridge and pickup covers. The pictures show it just as it was when I opened the case. I will clean it up as best I can. There are some dings in the finish which I tried to show in the photos, and there is some minor button rash on the back. The pick guard has a crack at the input jack but is not a functional issue. Otherwise, it is in decent shape cosmetically and mechanically. I am charging a flat rate of $80 for shipping and insurance. If it costs less I will refund the difference through pay pal. Make sure you want it if you buy because I will not take it back. |
