This auction is for a Used Besson 4-Valve Compensating Tuba, serial number 484XXX. This tuba does play (however we are not good tuba players). This tuba has been chemical cleaned and lubed, New Besson Spring and Spring Dampers, all valves moves freely, and all slides moves freely . This tuba has some dents , dings, some scuffs and scratches, lacquer wear and some soldered repairs. The first valve looks like it been replaced, because it is a newer style valve with the removable plastic guide This tuba came from a university, it has some wear and tear, being that this item was once used by students. No case, no mouthpiece. It would make a good practice instrument or more. Compared to what this item sells for New, this is a bargain price for this used instrument .
