Description
Exact Year: 1928 Brand: National

Inherited National Tricone Guitar from my Mother-In-Law. She belonged to a Hawaiian steel lap guitar club for approximately 2 years. In great condition this guitar appears to have been rarely used. Manufactured in 1928 the guitar also includes the original strings, slide and guitar case that is in great condition. Serial Number is 1075. I would consider this to be in 90% new condition. There appears to be crazing in the closeups but there is none.Info below was downloaded from research on the internet:Tricones were made of a German silver body (solid nickel alloy with nickel plating) w a 3 pc. body construction. The three cones give it less volume but far more sustain than it's single cone brethren. Engraved tricones are very rare and collectible. Any Nat made of German silver is very desirable and sweet of tone! Slide players love tricones! They came w round and square necks. Square necks make great lap style guitars.
