Ever since I first heard Mr. Tambourine Man played by the Byrds (actually written by Bob Dylan), I was a huge fan of Roger McGuinn. Roger played a Rickenbacker 360-12 through a compressor to get that jangly sound. The bottom four strings on a Ricky are reversed, the Bassier one is nearer the top, so I went out to buy a Ricky 360-12.
I soon discovered that the Ricky is just unplayable! I really wanted to like the 360, I just couldn't play it! It sounded great, but the neck was too darn narrow, and it was ALWAYS out of tune.
Well twenty years later this guitar came up on EBAY. It has a twelve saddle bridge, so you can adjust the strings independently so it actually starts in tune. But more than that, it has nut where the bottom four strings are reversed!!!
A little compression and voila! ....Roger McGuinn.If you're a big Byrds fan, this guitar is for you.
Absolutely no issues....plays and sounds great. Ships in a brand new hardshell case.
