Gold Tone GT-500 Banjitar
Acoustic Electric Maple Banjo Guitar with gigbag
Inventory # *455
This is a beautiful electric Banjitar (a Banjo body tuned like a guitar). You can use your guitar skills to get a nice folk sound. It is so beautiful in face that everyone at the fest wanted to play it, even if they had dirty hands. Therefore, there is a dirt stain on the banjo head. And I will be honest, I am known worldwide for my ability to work on ukuleles, but learning to change a banjo-head for a one-time deal is not going to happen. Instead, you will get an incredible discount on this great looking and sounding Banjo Guitar. It sounds great plugged in. I tried it out. And if you want to bring a banjo sound without having to learn a new skill set, this instrument is for you! And if you are someone who would probably leave a dirt stain on the banjo head, then you can just consider it pre-broke-in! **This is Folk Fest Stock! I offered these instruments at an outdoor music festival and they were played and enjoyed but Fest-goers, but I was very careful to make sure they were taken care of and not abused. This was a booth tucked away, so most of these instruments were not over-ly played. But the cool thing is, anything that did not sell there, I am selling here at a discount due to them being played at a Fest! That being said, most of these do not have any more wear above and beyond what instruments normally get while hanging on the wall at the local music shop. I will inspect, quality check, and play every instrument before it goes out to make sure you are getting a top-notch quality product! I just wanted to make sure you were aware why these are discounted! **This particular model will most likely need new strings soon due to the oxidation of steel strings. But they still have some good play in then and I would much rather you pick out your favorite strings and give you a discount on the instrument!
From the Gold Tone Website:The Gold Tone GT-500 6-string Banjitar is the most sought after 6-string banjo guitar in its class. it was designed by guitar players for guitar players. Traditionally-styled with a maple rim (with a full-weight brass flathead tone ring) and maple resonator, the GT-500's pot assembly joins with a comfortable maple neck crowned with a rosewood fingerboard. Killer acoustic tone abounds and the unique Gold Tone SMP Sliding Magnetic Pickup provides powerful plugged-in full range fidelity from the low E string to the first string's final fret. Mass produced ukuleles come with "factory settings". There is no time to set the uke up for the individual buyer. Often they err on the side of high-action (strings are high over the fretboard) . I take personal time with each uke I sell. All ukes get a nut and saddle adjustment. They are also checked for fret buzzes, intonation problems, and other issues that can be resolved in the set-up process. The action is lowered to an ideal and comfortable level. You can feel the difference between a non-set up uke and a uke that has been through the "Mim Set Up Process". I have repeat customers world-wide because I have worked hard to have the reputation that a uke from Mim is going to be "right". The set-up process can cost a lot through your local luthier and often they do not know the specifics that go into a good uke set-up. I only sell ukuleles, so my set-ups are custom tailored to your uke, the brand of uke you purchase, and the uke size. If you need a uke set-up Low G, or Lefty, let me know. I can do that for you... no charge! I set up the uke for YOU the buyer and ukulele player!
