Up for a buy it now or best offer is an absolutely beautiful one owner, barely played, 100% original, 1966 Fender Coronado II, s/n 501143, neck date stamp 19 DEC 66 B. One of the cleanest early Coronados that I have seen in a very LONG time, and cleanest and cheapest BY FAR you will find for sale anywhere!!!!. This is a pretty rare see through CHERRY (not the more common candy apple red) with the cool early checkerboard binding. You see a lot more of later non checker cherrys but never these! This one is in absolutely wonderful condition. The neck shows virtually no play wear whatsoever, that means finish, frets and fingerboard. The Cherry finish on the body is vibrant, bright and stunning, and shows a few minor scratches here and there, but that is about it. The checkerboard binding is perfect. The chrome plating on all of the hardware is excellent. The guitar plays awesome as you would expect a 1966 Fender to play, and amazing feeling neck for sure. The controls all work smoothly and as they should, and the neck pickup on this one sounds incredible, but the bridge one is weak, it still has output, but is probably due for a rewind.  The issues with this guitar are 1-it is missing its pickguard (easy to find), 2- the high E tuner is bent a tiny bit, but works fine, and 3- the bridge pickups output is weak, and probably should be rewound, not a big deal, single coils are cheap to do!! BTW, this is equipped with the superior earlier all chrome DeArmonds, which blow away the later ones with the black inserts. My price WAY MORE than reflects these minor issues (should cost less than 200 for an original guard and pickup rewind), despite the near immaculate condition of this guitar, this is a great price for one in this condition!!! It is not mint, but Excellent ++ would be accurate on this for a guitar of this age, and is definitely collector quality. The guitar comes shipped in its very very nice original Victoria Luggage hard case, that would also fit a 12 string version, but is original to this guitar, I guess that is what the Fender dealer had on hand at the time this was sold new back in 67 I would guess.  SHIPPING WILL BE CHEAPER THAN POSTED THE CLOSER YOU LIVE TO NY!!! Thanks, Rob 315 298 6797.
