Description
Brand: Fender Model: Stratocaster

This is my custom built frankenstrat. it took me 5 years to find exactly the right components that met my needs. The body was purchased as a 1983 Fullerton Strat body as was the neck. The neck is NOT a soft or hard V, but that doesn't mean a whole lot since my 1997 57 RI Strat had no hard v shape. Here are the other components. It has a Callaham bridge with Patent Pending (reproduction) saddles. There is a reproduction 57 Neck Plate with an a 57 format number. The pickups are Fat 62 since they have more of the SRV tone than the TX Specials. Sorry I couldn't afford a set of vintage pickups. The pickup covers are 54 reproductions and are made to look like vintage bakelite. I haven't pulled the pickguard but I am almost 100% sure that the pots are CTS. Tuners are Fender originals. All metal pieces have been put through a process to replicate old tarnished The body and neck have been exposed to cold and heat to provide authentic checking. Some of the Custom Shop relic strats I have seen look like someone to a hammer to the finish to check it. I have owned plenty of vintage instruments that have gotten their checking from exposure to NH winter air and this looks original. The nitro on the neck has checking as well and it looks like it has been played in smoky bars from 1957. The pickguard is a custom heavy reliced pickguard with a matte finish. Frets could be recrowned. It will need a professional set-up. The selector switch is set to a Ritchie Blackmore configuration, which means there is one setting that puts the neck and bridge pickup together. I believe that it is the setting just above the bridge selector setting. It needs a good cleaning. I do not have a postal scale to weigh it. To be honest I hate to part with it as I promised myself to never sell it. I sold off all of my high end Les Pauls to keep this guitar, but I am going to let it go because someone should be playing it. This will be a one time only listing for the whole guitar. After the auction has ended I am going to either part it out or keep it and sell off other articles I have in order to hold on to this. It will come with a Fender case, but the black plastic version, not a vintage case. Any questions ask. Look at the pics. If you need me to pull it apart for neck and body pics I will, but you know what it is.
