Available at Valiant Music in Brunswick Heads, Northern N.S.W. is this incredible 1936 Gibson L-00 in great condition.  First things first this instrument has an amazing tone like never hear before. With it's wider lower bout and smaller 00 size combined, it produces and incredibly even round sound. All the notes appear to play at the same volume and it's response is effortless. Rich overtones occur, leaving you with 80 years of playing coming through your fingers, and when you've strummed your last chord it's oscillating sustain is other worldly. I know, I know, I'm going on and on about it, but this guitar is just very special and from what I can tell it is the only one available in Australia. Overseas these 1930's Gibson L-00's are going from $7000 - $11,000 AUD, and one can only imagine what they will be worth in 20 years when they reach the ripe ol' age of 100.  Top: Solid Spruce Side & Back: Solid Mahogany Neck: Solid Mahogany Finger Board: Indian Rosewood Bridge: Indian Rosewood Bracing: Scalloped X Bracing Neck Width At Nut: 1-3 / 4 "(about 44.45mm) Scale Length: 24-3 / 4 "(about 628.65mm) This guitar is in great condition for an 80 year old guitar. Please examine the photos carefully. The neck is straight and truss rod works as it should. The machine heads have have been replaced with high quality machine heads of the correct era which function as they should. The bridge is fully intact, solid and flat with it's hand cut bone saddle. Obviously there is playing wear in the expected areas and 'dings & nicks' all over but the original frets are in fair condition and the action is beautiful. The scroll logo is well represented and in fine form. Here's your chance to get ahold of a rare 80 year old Gibson without paying up to $1000 on shipping and import duties on top of the purchase price.
