Here is a very early 1997 Peavey Wolfgang Standard Archtop Patent Pending guitar in VH2 yellow and black Stripes. Guitar was originally what I believe to be a gold or black top, guitar arrived as a basket case perfect for a stripe relic. The former owner had sanded this guitar and painted it a different color, (previous owner got a little aggressive in sanding so guitar is currently in relic condition shows sanding wear under finish.) Guitar was re- painted in the same manner as the original stripe guitars via the krylon method but with a twist for better wear. Body was sanded to bare wood again, properly primed with sand-able primer rear coated to black then semi gloss clear, top was top coated yellow, striped coated black then semi gloss clear with relic paint hazing cracking etc. (finish is light and will relic easy) The only part of the relic that wasn't done was any final sanding to show wood through wear, dings, or scratches, (The next owner can finish this part of relic to their own specs) pickups are original to guitar and are relic'd. Tremolo shows natural relic wear. Neck is relic'd with tung oil finish only, no dents or dings, just smooth fast low string action wood. fret condition is nice just recently leveled no dents in frets, plenty of life. This is a pretty early Patent pending guitar noted by its coupler nut style mount trem arm (common on regular original floyd rose trems) - original wolfgang peavey floyd rose. (later model wolfgangs used the screw in old school floyd rose type trem bars) this guitar also has original regular chrome button schaller tuners (later approved wolfgang standard models had the pearl buttons on the tuners.) Mxr type volume and tone knobs, schaller strap locks. new EVH D-tuna drop d tuner device. 3 way switch has been replaced with new switch. (original 3 way will be provided was just missing retainer nut.) 5150 decal included. Guitar is a super cool relic that no VH collector shouldn't be without!
