Late 1967/Early 1968 Gibson J50adjAcoustic Guitar with Vintage Chipboard Style CaseFully original late 1967 or early 1968 Gibson J50adj. This is one of the last of the original "Round/Sloped Shoulder" J50s to be made right before the "Square-Shoulder" was introduced in mid-1968. The guitar is totally original right down the the strap buttons and bridge plate. The case is vintage but most likely original to the guitar.Cosmetically the guitar is in very good shape with very little in the way of dings or heavy playwear. There are two (now-professionally, originally amateur) repaired cracks going from the bridge towards the bottom edge of the guitar (see pictures). There is also a small crack under the pickguard that has been professionally repaired in our shop as well. The guitar has a fresh set-up (see close-ups of saddle and nut) and the adjustable saddle is sitting moderately high to provide medium-action. Neck joint is snug and truss rod is functional. The guitar may have had a refret with wider fretwire (see closeup). Nut width is a slimmer 1-1/2". Included below are pictures of the professional crack repairs from the underside. This beauty is ready to take out and play complete with a fresh pro set-up in our shop. Flat-rate shipping to ensure full insurance coverage against loss and damage.
