This is a 2007 Taylor LKSM 12 String which includes the factory installed and rare on this model, Taylor Express Sound System. This specific model has been discontinued for many years, and with this instrument, you won’t find a better example of the LKSM anywhere. Not only is it beautiful, it’s in like new condition and so is the case. I’ve only played it a few times, and it’s been kept in its case and monitored often. There isn’t one ding, dent or scratch on it, and the wood that was chosen for this particular guitar, was MAGNIFICANT….just look at the pictures (which really don’t do it justice and more are available upon request). The action and setup is LIGHT and VERY RESPONSIVE with absolutely NO FRET WEAR, with great INTONATION and SUSTAIN. This is the best way to get that deep, rumbling bass and shimmering treble that Leo is known for, but you aren’t limited to just that sound…. the possibilities are endless with a guitar of this caliber. If you were playing a piano, it would be like playing a Steinway Grand…….. This is the description from the Taylor web site…. Rosewood binding and a thin band of green purfling add subtle accents, while the inlay-free fret board is profound in its simplicity. The model uses heavy gauge strings and is tuned to C#, which yields Kottke's rumbling, throaty piano guitar sound.
