Ibanez JS100 Nov 1999 This is an exceptional JS100 with the GOTOH Floyd bridge modification. You may pay a little more for this guitar but the mod was done right and works perfectly. You will find this guitar to be half way to a JS1000. These older ones are far better feeling guitars, and with this professional mod your playing will improve greatly.
It has super low action as is typical of the JS guitars and has monster sound and playability. The new trem works like butter. My son had a ruby red JS100 and I had a white JS1000 from Japan. The main difference that was glaring in the two guitars was the bridge. My son got tired of screwing in his trem armand having it wobble in the hole when he tried to trem. We considered routing the trem cavity out to be able to take a better trem but never did it. He’s now married and gone and I sold my beautiful JS1000. But a few years ago I bought another JS100 and discovered that GOTOH made a Floyd trem that would fit the JS100 cavity if your re-drilled the posts and moved them forward a bit. So that’s what I did to this little beauty and WOW!! What a difference. Now I felt like I owned a real quality JS again at half the cost. There is a small allen screw to help adjust the position of where the arm stays, you can now give it just enough tension to stay where you want it or let it hang slack. This trem is really nice, and a huge improvement.
So if you want the quality of the older JS100’s which put todays to shame, but with a highly improved bridge that is close to the upper echelon JS guitars then this is the one for you. In excellent shape with only minor wear this stealthy black 1999 JS100 with the Gotoh trem and kool skull knobs might be the guitar for you. Comes with a well padded gig bag.
